About the role
The role involves accurately pulling, processing, and preparing customer orders for shipment while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, carrier standards, and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Pull customer orders accurately and verify order details to ensure correctness.
- Pull, wrap, stack, and label orders properly to meet customer requirements, carrier standards, and company procedures.
- Ensure all orders are completed and ready to ship by the required ship date and time.
- Stage outbound orders and inbound product efficiently to support workflow and shipping schedules.
- Maintain current knowledge of customer requirements, shipping specifications, and order expectations.
- Ensure all required paperwork, ship lists, labels, placards, and signed Bills of Lading (BOLs) are accurate and submitted to office personnel in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly inform Warehouse Supervisor of shortages, damaged products, or backorders.
- Maintain quality levels set forth by management and ensure finished orders meet company standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while performing job duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in order fulfillment, warehouse operations, shipping, or e-commerce environments.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience pulling, staging, and preparing orders for shipment while meeting customer and shipping requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with order management, inventory, and shipping systems.
- Proficiency using handheld scanners, label printers, and other warehouse technology.
- Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to accurately review and complete orders, manifests, ship lists, Bills of Lading, and related documentation in English.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, and workplace safety practices.
- Strong verbal and written English-language communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependability, flexibility, and willingness to work varying schedules and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Physical Demands
- Requires heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires repetitive movement.
- Requires bending and twisting.
- Requires using hands.
- Requires walking / standing 90% of shift.
Work Environment
- May work in indoor manufacturing environments that can be cold or hot due to equipment, machinery, or production processes.
- May work with tablets or powdered materials, where airborne particulates may be present within applicable OSHA-permitted exposure limits using established safety controls.
