Order Prep
Responsibilities
- Prepare modules and poles for customer shipment including cutting to length, hole layout and drilling and any other requirements specified on the drawing
- Verify materials, quantities, and product identification before processing
- Preparation of dunnage and nesting of modules for shipment
- Prepare orders in a timely manner
- Aid in training of order preparation employees as required
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements by maintaining a clean and safe work environment and complying with all Company policies as well as Provincial and Federal Regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience required; 2+ years of construction experience preferred
- Forklift/Lift Truck certification preferred but not required
- Excellent fine motor skills, strong hand-eye coordination, and exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in the safe operation of a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, nail guns, impact wrenches, and other fabrication equipment
- Working knowledge of 5S principles and lean manufacturing practices is preferred
- Ability to read, interpret, and mark both imperial and metric measurements
Training
Training includes drilling holes, installing identification tags, top caps, and other hardware components with precision. Candidates must be comfortable working with small parts and performing detailed assembly tasks.
Working Conditions
- Industrial manufacturing/production environment
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions within the plant
- Frequent physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking
- Regular interaction with heavy machinery, moving equipment, and limited handling of chemicals within the production area
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
