The Impact You'll Make
The OFR is responsible for coordinating and executing order fulfillment activities to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products to customers. This role supports production, warehouse, and shipping functions by managing order flow, resolving issues, and maintaining data accuracy within ERP systems. The OFR plays a critical role in meeting customer expectations and supporting operational efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Process and manage customer orders from entry through shipment
- Cook with production, scheduling, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery
- Monitor order status and proactively communicate delays or issues
- Validate order accuracy, including quantities, part numbers, and shipping details
- Support inventory accuracy by reconciling discrepancies and reporting issues
- Generate shipping documentation and ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Track and report key metrics such as on-time delivery and order accuracy
- Proactively coordinate and communicate with CSR’s and Planners to address orders which do or do not fit in with the current production plans.
- Responsible to see orders are fulfilled as customer expects.
- Makes sure items needed for customer orders are monitored and expedited.
- Determines and follows-up on dispatch shortages.
- Identifies when other team members, or others outside the team, are needed for assistance to satisfy all customer needs.
- Reviews and understands the impact of Engineering Changes (EC) on inventory and customer orders.
- Coordinates short lead-time customer orders with operations teams. "Negotiates" win-win situations for delivery of product to customer needs that fits the operating capacity to deliver.
- Promotes quality and continuous improvement.
- Covers stop order process.
- Adheres to all safety policies and wears required PPE.
- Performs housekeeping duties along with provisional standards meeting 5-S requirements.
- Affords support to maintain an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing departmental and plant goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in order fulfillment, customer service, or manufacturing support
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective advanced and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent professional communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Drive for results
Preferred qualifications – - Bachelor's degree preferred - Experience with ERP systems preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Occasional walking within warehouse or production areas
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (as needed)
- Frequent use of computers and office equipment
- Works in an environment where inattention could cause injury
- Combination of office and manufacturing/warehouse setting
- Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures when on the production floor
