Order Entry Specialist II
About the role
The Order Entry Specialist II is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of contracts and text submissions into the Oracle system. This role also supports reporting activities, creates and maintains spreadsheets, imports data, and provides full backup coverage for data entry functions related to Scholastic Announcements.
Responsibilities
- Be in complete learning mode gaining knowledge from job aids and SOP (standard operating procedures)
- Input student information into Oracle
- Build relationship with scholastic product specialists, to support the needs of our customers
- Hands-on training while job-shadowing with a seasoned team member
- Rate of accuracy at 95% or better after 4 weeks of training with full audit from trainer
- Independently enter students’ order data into Oracle
- Consistently review orders for completeness with minimal audit corrections
- Maintain 99%+ accuracy while meeting or exceeding productivity expectations
- Serve as a reliable backup resource, stepping into additional data entry support as needed
- Proactively flag trends or recurring issues and contribute to process improvements
- Daily review and entry of high school announcement contracts
- Key in information on the student order form into the system
- Process text submission and pricing
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports
- Prepare all data entry back up support for entering orders from AccessDOP and expedited functions as needed throughout the season
- Support Data Entry department
- Other tasks and projects completed as assigned
Requirements
- Previous success in a data entry or similar role preferred
- Proven success in effective communication (listening, writing and verbal)
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel) and learning new systems/technology with understanding some work is processed manually
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to operate PC systems (Word, Oracle, Order Manager) as well as follow manual processes such as filing
- Strong math skills with the ability to work with a calculator
Qualifications
- Highschool or GED required
- Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred

- Physical requirements: lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting, reading, communication, math, sitting for long periods of time, lifting/moving up to 25lbs, working alone in a relatively quiet environment

Pay
Starting Pay for position: $22.00 - $22.50
