About the role
The Order Builder is responsible for preparing customer orders for delivery. This role is part of a fast-paced environment where you'll contribute to meaningful work while gaining valuable experience through teamwork, accountability, and follow-through.Responsibilities
- Accurately build and stage orders based on pick tickets for loading onto delivery trucks
- Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation
- Use appropriate manual or powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) to move product and materials from/to designated locations
- Adhere to procedures relating to product age, quality, and safety
- Meet productivity requirements
- Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of the warehouse
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months of general work experience required
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
- Ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend and reach
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
- Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
