Orchestra Tutor

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate and take an active role in developing the academic and personal strength of students
• Work with students at all phases of the writing process, such as brainstorming, clustering, read arounds, revisions, and editing
• Communicate regularly with the Orchestra coordinator/teacher regarding student progress and areas of concern and confer with the teacher about future tutorial plans
• Assure that students complete work in a timely manner
• Establish and maintain rapport with students, while upholding the tone and atmosphere of the classroom set by the elective teacher(s)
• Set an example of personal excellence and high expectation for all orchestra students to follow
• Participate in all required trainings, professional development sessions, and meetings
• Adhere to district/site policies and procedures

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Preferred college student (or college graduate) with a minimum of 2.5 GPA
• Must have a strong orchestra background, evidenced by college transcript
• Effective communicative skills with students and adults
