Farmville Middle School is seeking an Orchestra/Modern Band teacher.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music to middle school students, fostering a love for music, and preparing students for potential participation in school musicals or other performances.

Responsibilities

• Teach orchestra and modern band classes
• Prepare students for school musicals and other performances
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall music program
• Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Experience teaching middle school music
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
• Passing background check

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Knowledge of current music education practices

• Excellent classroom management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
