About the Role
Denver Health Medical Center in the heart of Downtown Denver, CO is recruiting for a PRN/Intermittent Oral Surgeon to join the Oral Surgery Department as a clinician and core faculty member in the Oral Surgery Residency Program.
Denver Health is a 555-bed Level I Trauma Center and one of the largest safety net teaching hospitals in the United States. The institution provides over 315 million dollars of uncompensated care annually, handles over one million ambulatory care encounters, 124,000 ER/Urgent Care visits, and 9,000 outpatient surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a core faculty member in the Oral Surgery Residency Program, contributing to the education and training of future oral surgeons.
- Engage in full-scope hospital-based oral and maxillofacial surgery practice.
- Participate in clinical and residency education, including supervision and mentorship of residents.
About the Program
Denver Health’s OMFS 4-year training program selects 2 trainees per year and produces leaders in the field. Residents achieve competency in:
- Oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Anesthesia
- Medicine, cardiology, and pediatric medicine
- Emergency medicine
- General surgery, neurosurgery, and surgical intensive care
- Otolaryngology and plastic surgery
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and talented surgeon with a passion for teaching and residency education.
