About the role

Lake Jackson Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join its established specialty practice in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Dr. Richard Fugler, DDS, MD, leads the practice, which has been serving the Brazosport community since 1998. Dr. Fugler is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has extensive experience in Lake Jackson.

Responsibilities

  • Offer a comprehensive range of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including dental implant placement, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, surgical extractions, pre-prosthetic surgery and reshaping for dentures, oral pathology, corrective and orthognathic jaw surgery, and facial trauma and fracture treatment.
  • Perform dentoalveolar surgery, implant placement, bone grafting, and IV sedation.
  • Treat a broad mix of dentoalveolar, implant, reconstructive, pathology, trauma, and orthognathic cases.
  • Collaborate with an experienced and highly trained clinical team to provide exceptional care.
  • Develop lasting relationships with referring doctors.
  • Maintain clinical autonomy within a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program.
  • Eligibility for dental licensure in Texas.
  • Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills.
  • Experience with dentoalveolar surgery, implant placement, bone grafting, and IV sedation.
  • A commitment to ethical, evidence-based care.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An interest in developing lasting relationships with referring doctors.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach.

Qualifications
