Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oral Surgeon to join a brand-new, state-of-the-art oral surgery practice opening in Meridian, ID in early fall 2026. This is a unique opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up with strong operational and clinical support from SALT Dental Partners. The practice will benefit from a built-in, healthy referral base from established, high-performing pediatric dental offices in the area, including Idaho Kids Dentistry and Orthodontics and My Kid's Dentist.

Schedule & Growth Plan

  • Initial Commitment: 12 days per month
  • Starting with approximately 2 clinical days + 1 marketing/referral development day per week
  • Near-Term Growth: Transition quickly to 3 clinical days per week
  • Long-Term Opportunity: Scale up to 4 days per week as patient volume grows

About the Location

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
    • Extractions (including impacted third molars)
    • Dental implants and bone grafting
    • Exposure and bonding procedures
    • IV sedation and general anesthesia cases
  • Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and obtain informed consent
  • Collaborate with referring dentists to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in marketing and relationship-building efforts with referral partners (especially during initial ramp-up phase)
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
  • Active or eligibility for Idaho dental license
  • Active DEA registration
  • Permit for administration of IV sedation/general anesthesia in Idaho (or ability to obtain)
  • Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to participate in practice growth and referral development

Pay

$600,000 - $1,000,000, annually
