About the role

Oracle OCI Cloud Security Consultant – New York, NY (Onsite) – 6‑12+ month contract providing hands‑on security design, engineering, and oversight for PeopleSoft deployments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities

• Harden, monitor, and ensure compliance of OCI environments with cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with Application Security, IAM, Network, Data Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver a secure OCI landing zone.
• Implement and manage OCI security features: Policies, Compartments, Security Zones, WAF, Load Balancing, Vault, Key Management, and network security controls.
• Use Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools such as Oracle Cloud Guard, Prisma, or Wiz for continuous monitoring and compliance.
• Secure enterprise applications, applying Application Security, DevSecOps, and API security best practices.
• Monitor and analyze cloud audit logs and event metrics using SIEM or similar tools.
• Provide strong communication to collaborate across architecture, DBA, security, IAM, and networking teams.

Requirements

• 4‑6 years of experience in Oracle OCI, PeopleSoft, Cyber Security, and Security engineering.
