Oracle Fusion HR Systems Administrator
Job Summary
The Oracle Fusion HRIS Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of the Oracle Fusion HCM platform. This role serves as the primary system administrator for Core HR, Recruiting, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Performance Management, and Learning modules while partnering with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to drive system enhancements, data integrity, process improvements, reporting, and user adoption.
Job Roles And Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Oracle Fusion HCM applications, including: Core HR, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Time and Labor, Absence Management, Performance Management, Oracle Learning
Configure system setups, workflows, approvals, security roles, profiles, AOR’s, and organizational structures.
Manage system releases, quarterly updates, regression testing, and production deployments.
Maintain system performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for HR system issues, enhancements, and user support.
Configure and maintain business processes, approval hierarchies, alerts, notifications, and workflows.
Support employee lifecycle processes including hiring, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, and terminations.
Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to improve operational efficiency through automation and simplification.
Administer role-based security, data access controls, and user provisioning.
Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements, SOX controls, and data privacy regulations.
Conduct regular security reviews and access audits.
Support segregation of duties reviews, data audits, and other compliance/validation activities.
Support inbound and outbound integrations between Oracle Fusion and third-party systems.
Partner with IT, vendors, and integration teams to troubleshoot data and interface issues.
Absorb data migration, conversion activities, and testing for system enhancements and projects.
Utilize HDL, HSDL, Spreadsheet Loader, and HCM Data Loader tools for mass data management.
Participate in implementation projects, system enhancements, and module expansions.
Support future roadmap initiatives including: Oracle Fusion Payroll, Oracle Benefits Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation, and change management efforts.
Recommend best practices and leverage Oracle-delivered functionality wherever possible.
Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
Job Scope
The Oracle Fusion HRIS Administrator serves as a key functional and technical resource responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the Oracle Fusion HCM system to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant HR operations. The incumbent works with a high level of independence under general direction, using sound judgment to resolve system issues, maintain data integrity, support reporting, manage user access, assist with configuration updates, and recommend process improvements within established guidelines. This role impacts HR service delivery, employee data accuracy, compliance support, and business decision-making through reliable system functionality and reporting. The position regularly interacts with HR, IT, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, managers, employees, and external vendors or Oracle support as needed, but does not have direct budget accountability or formal people management authority. The role may provide guidance or support to HR users and project teams through indirect working relationships, but it is not responsible for hiring, firing, discipline, or other formal HR actions.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $85k-$90k. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, And Training)
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of HRIS administration experience.
3+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM administration experience.
Experience supporting multiple Oracle Fusion modules, including: Core HR, Recruiting, Time and Labor, Absence Management, Performance Management, Learning
Experience using HDL, HSDL, and Spreadsheet Loader tools.
Strong understanding of HR business processes and employee data management.
Experience supporting quarterly Oracle updates and testing cycles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience implementing or supporting Oracle Fusion Payroll and/or Benefits.
Experience with Fast Formulas.
Experience with integration tools including OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party vendors.
Knowledge of HR compliance, data privacy, and audit requirements.
Oracle Fusion HCM certifications preferred.
