Oracle EBS R12 Discrete Manufacturing Functional Consultant - Cleveland, OH (Onsite) - W2

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS R12 Discrete Manufacturing Functional Consultant to support manufacturing, production, inventory, engineering, and shop-floor business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.1.3 and discrete manufacturing modules, including Work in Process, Bills of Material, Engineering, Inventory, and related manufacturing functions. Candidates should understand real-world shop-floor operations and be able to translate manufacturing requirements into effective Oracle solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise for Oracle EBS R12 discrete manufacturing processes.
• Configure, support, and improve Oracle WIP, BOM, Engineering, and Inventory modules.
• Work with production, manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, finance, and IT teams.
• Conduct business requirements workshops and process analysis sessions.
• Understand manufacturing operations, routings, work centers, work orders, and shop-floor processes.
• Design Oracle solutions that support actual production and manufacturing requirements.
• Lead or support full lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations and ERP migrations.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend Oracle best-practice solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.
• Work closely with technical developers on RICE development activities.
• Support data conversion, testing, integrations, training, and production readiness.
• Lead or participate in SIT, UAT, user training, and go-live support.
• Document business processes, functional requirements, test scenarios, and support procedures.
• Communicate effectively with shop-floor employees, business users, technical teams, and executives.
• Support multiple manufacturing locations and business units as required.
• Travel domestically within the United States when needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite functional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12, preferably R12.1.3.
• Deep functional knowledge of the following modules: Oracle Work in Process (WIP), Bills of Material (BOM), Oracle Inventory, Oracle Engineering, Manufacturing and shop-floor operations.
• Experience with at least two or three full-lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations or ERP migrations.
• Experience working in a discrete manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of routings, work centers, work orders, production execution, and shop-floor control.
• Experience preparing functional specifications for RICE development.
• Ability to work with technical teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.
• Strong cross-functional understanding of Production, Quality, Planning, Finance, Engineering, and IT.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct workshops, train users, and explain complex processes clearly.
• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Cleveland, OH, five days per week.
• Willingness to travel domestically within the United States as needed.
• Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting machine-shop or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Experience with multi-plant or multi-country manufacturing organizations.
• Experience migrating from a legacy ERP system to Oracle EBS.
• Knowledge of Oracle Cost Management, ASCP, Planning, Quality, and Warehouse Management.
• Experience with Oracle manufacturing templates, standards, or global ERP rollouts.
• Experience with manufacturing process improvement and Oracle best-practice alignment.
