Oracle Developer

Contract role based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Work hours are 8am to 5pm.

About the role

Daily responsibilities include creating new functions and code to solve business problems as well as providing support for live functions. You will join an existing global team; Matthew Chambault and Steve Guwy will be your primary contacts, while Vikash will be your US manager on paper.

This role supports two key projects:

• Finance Re-Design (FRD) – an 8-year-old initiative re-configuring an upstream data source into a new strategic Oracle Exadata platform and onboarding additional users.
• Finance Reg Reporting (FRR) – a 2-year-old greenfield project building reconciliation and adjustment capabilities between the bank’s ledger and an upstream ADS for regulatory reporting.

The development teams are distributed across India, Dublin, London, and a newly formed New York team, providing 24/5 global coverage. The project is migrating from a proprietary bank database to a new Oracle Exadata rack.

Responsibilities

• Develop new Oracle functions and code to address business requirements.
• Support and maintain live production functions.
• Participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and production support.
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of Oracle development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata.
• Strong team player comfortable working in a globally distributed environment.
• Willingness to engage in all aspects of the software lifecycle, from analysis to production support.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Pay

$54.62 – $64.62 per hour.
