Oracle Database Administrator (TS/SCI w/ Poly Required)
A day in the life
We are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join a software development effort that provides automated and assisted data processing, analysis, and reporting to the customer. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will maintain the integrity, security and availability of multiple database(s) to forward deployed engineers and analysts, worldwide. Your responsibilities will include disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data.
- Administering, maintaining, and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)
- Performing Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE Database and Application server administration
- Organizing and formatting data for efficient query and storage processes
- Establishing and maintaining database user accounts
- Performing disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data
- Evaluating requirements and recommending available DBMS products
- Supporting data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations
- Coeordinating database architecture changes with database engineers
- Managing the installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views
- Managing the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies
What you bring to the table
- Five (5) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of additional database administration experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree
- Experience installing and maintaining Oracle databases including Goldengate
- Experience with Oracle streams and distributed databases
- Experience installing and maintaining Oracle 10g
- Experience writing stored procedures
- Experience using PL/SQL
- Experience developing database schemas
- Five (5) years of maintenance experience with LINUX Server Operating System
- Experience w/ Installing and maintaining Oracle 11g
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Implementing backups strategies for databases writing shell scripts Perl
- Experience with multi-master, bi-directional, selective data replication and configuration
- An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph

- Salary Range: Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself. Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is $95,000 - $135,000.
