Oracle Database Administrator (Mid-Level)

Location: Remote (U.S.). Supports the U.S. Government Publishing Office, Washington, DC Type: Full-time, contingent on contract award. Anticipated start November 16, 2026 Hours: 8 hours/day within 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM ET. Periodic scheduled after-hours work for patching and reboots North Point Technology is hiring a mid-level Oracle DBA to support day-to-day Oracle operations at the Government Publishing Office alongside a senior Oracle DBA. What you'll do: Administer and maintain Oracle databases, including RMAN backups and restoresExecute patching, installs, and routine server maintenanceImplement and test failovers and recovery proceduresTriage and troubleshoot Oracle and MS Access issuesHelp users build and configure databasesWork ServiceNow tickets and RFCs within SLAsMonitor systems with Idera and SolarWinds and tune alertsContribute to weekly activity reports What you need: 4+ years of database administration experience, primarily OracleExperience with RMAN, PL/SQL, and Oracle GridExposure to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and MS AccessExperience creating and managing standalone Oracle databasesSolid scripting and automation skills Preferred: Oracle certification (OCA or OCP)Federal support experience North Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!
