About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced, team-oriented Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Lead – Benefits (Public Sector) to join our consulting team. This role can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on functional best practices for Oracle Cloud HCM policies.
  • Serve as an expert in the configuration and management of the Oracle Cloud Benefits module.
  • Provide best-practice guidance on business processes and implementation.
  • Publish weekly status reports to the project management team.
  • Coordinate efforts between other module resources to implement optimal solutions for clients.
  • Act as an Oracle Cloud HCM subject matter expert (SME) to interpret business requirements into appropriate configurations of the Oracle Cloud Benefits module.
  • Maintain system-related processes and documentation, suggesting procedural changes as needed.
  • Assist with continuous process improvement and provide insights into best practices.
  • Support key system processes and collaborate with technical teams on integrations, conversions, and reports.
  • Lead the complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuration, programming, and unit testing.
  • Assist clients with business requirements and recommend process improvements.
  • Produce end-user documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle Cloud Benefits Lead, with 5–7+ years in Oracle Cloud implementations.
  • Expertise in Benefits; ideally also in Core HR and Compensation.
  • Experience with monthly and quarterly patch testing, issue resolution, impact analysis, and testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while contributing as a team member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with public sector clients, such as state governments, counties, and cities.
  • Master’s degree.
