Oracle Cloud Engineer
About the Role
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not all know how. As an Oracle Cloud Engineer, you will create cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities. This role involves developing cloud-based solutions for some of the nation’s toughest problems using the latest cloud technologies. You will work with industry leaders to inform strategy, design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. Your technical experience will help recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You will collaborate with your team to help clients overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud while growing your skills in areas like AI and developing critical systems for the defense industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced OCI solutions.
- Design and deploy production geospatial solutions from concept to operations and maintenance (O&M).
- Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.
- Work with industry leaders to inform strategy, design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud deployments.
- Work with containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience using software with a cloud-first development approach.
- 5+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions, including on-premise or hybrid solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with OCI services and cloud-native architecture patterns, including Compute, Autonomous Database, Exadata Database, security policies, security groups, and network security.
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor's degree.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation.
- Experience with system migration from AWS to OCI.
- Experience with OCI AI, ML, and LLM offerings.
- Experience designing OCI solutions optimized for geospatial workloads.
- Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments.
- Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications.
- IAT Level II+ Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certifications.

Pay
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:
- Remote: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
