Oracle Applications Senior Principal Systems Analyst
About the role
The Oracle Applications Senior Principal Systems Analyst supports the current implementation of Oracle EBS R12 and works closely with Finance and other business groups to design, implement, and optimize the Oracle Financials environment. The primary focus is on Project Billing and Costing, Project Contracts, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management.
Responsibilities
- Works daily with Financial Services and other business groups to elicit and document requirements, propose and deliver solutions to enhance business efficiency and streamline processes.
- Ideas and collaborates with other team members to design and deliver business value according to requirements and specifications.
- Initiates and completes deployments through the Service Now platform while working with developers and other key stakeholders.
- Follows the organizational change management process and documentation standards.
- Escalates issues for resolution with Oracle and utilizes the Oracle Support site to open and drive to conclusion Service Requests.
- Documents bugs and obtains fixes and patches to resolve production problems in a timely manner.
- Utilizes and proposes best practices to ensure high quality and integrity of delivered solutions.
- Works to identify, evaluate, and implement new interfaces or automation to improve efficiency and data quality of system operation.
- Excellently analyzes and troubleshoots system performance and other issues, recommends workarounds, stop-gap measures, and long-term enhancements to eliminate repetitive problems.
- May be required to work on conversion projects and data migration into the existing EBS implementation as needed.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in Oracle EBS and/or other enterprise systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of EBS R12 data architecture in the PA, AR GL schemas etc., and subledger accounting; out of the box and custom integrations; APIs and REST services availability and capabilities for R12.
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance standards, and best practices for maintaining data integrity and proper labeling of sensitive and personal information, CUI and PI.
Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of EBS R12 data architecture in the PA, AR GL schemas etc., and subledger accounting; out of the box and custom integrations; APIs and REST services availability and capabilities for R12.
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance standards, and best practices for maintaining data integrity and proper labeling of sensitive and personal information, CUI and PI.
- Hands-on experience working on data conversion or data migration projects, particularly in Oracle ERP platforms.
- Good technical expertise combined with thorough understanding of accounting and financial statements.
- Familiarity with Oracle Forms personalization and Oracle Applications Framework (OAF).
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are a must.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to analyze and manage complex data.
