About the Role

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center, and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. The Surgical Services Department performs emergency, trauma, elective, inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory/same-day surgery, including pre- and post-procedure assessment and recovery for special procedures and cardiac cath lab patients. Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, GU, GYN, thoracic, ophthalmic, vascular, plastic, neuro, dental, ENT, endoscopic, cardiovascular, and podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients timely, safely, and with proper documents.
• Assists with room turnover, including gathering necessary equipment, removing soiled trash, linen, and biohazardous waste.
• Assists with positioning and prepping of patients.
• Obtains blood, blood products, additional supplies, equipment, and instruments as needed during procedures.
• Performs housekeeping duties in assigned areas, including OR room turnover/cleaning, patient transport, stocking rooms, and running specimens to the lab.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No prior experience required
• No supervisory experience required
