About the role
As an independent contractor, this role requires strong expertise in data privacy and security practices. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection regulations and implementing robust privacy measures to protect sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive data privacy policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data protection laws
- Provide guidance and training on data privacy best practices to team members
- Respond to data breach notifications and coordinate with legal teams
- Stay updated on emerging data privacy trends and regulatory changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in data privacy and security roles
- Knowledge of major data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
- Experience with data privacy tools and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
