About the Role
Join Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The facility performs all types of surgical cases, including Robotic, General, Podiatry, Colorectal, GYN, Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic, Endovascular, and Urology on high-acuity patients. The OR features 11 suites, including 2 Hybrid ORs, with plans to expand by five additional surgical suites. The leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and professional growth.
Surgical Services serves both outpatients and inpatients, including ICU/CCU ventilators, central line/A-line management, critical drips, and PCU/Tele/Med-Surg patients. Patient and staff safety is a top priority, with a family- and teamwork-oriented culture and an active Unit-Based Council.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving, part of the Baylor Scott & White Health System, is a 293-bed community hospital established in 1964. The facility provides care through 32,991 outpatient visits, 76,730 emergency department visits, and 11,753 admissions annually, with over 2,000 babies delivered each year. Specialties include oncology, digestive, and cardiovascular care. The hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a "Best Hospital" for COPD, Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Stroke, Kidney Failure, and Maternity care. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room for high-acuity surgical cases, including Robotic, General, Cardiothoracic, Orthopedic, and Urology procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a family- and teamwork-oriented environment.
- Prioritize patient and staff safety in all aspects of care.
- Participate in the Unit-Based Council to improve patient outcomes and nursing practice.
Requirements
- 2 years of Operating Room RN experience.
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
- RN – Registered Nurse license.
- BLS – Basic Life Support certification (required within 30 days of hire).
