OR Patient Care Attendant

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from the operating room and perioperative areas
• Aid in patient positioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients as directed by clinical staff
• Prepare operating rooms by setting up equipment, furniture, and supplies
• Clean and turnover operating rooms between procedures following infection prevention guidelines
• Stock and organize supplies and equipment
• Transport soiled instruments, equipment, and waste according to policy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and teamwork
• Prior experience in a hospital, operating room, or patient care environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and healthcare safety practices (preferred)
