OR/PACU RN Part-Time (Weekends)

About the role

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN (Part-Time, Weekends) at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support.

Schedule

• Every other Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Holiday rotation

Pay

$71 to $77 per hour (commensurate with experience).

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
