OR Nurse Manager

About the Role

Seeking a registered Operating Room Clinical Manager in our ambulatory surgery center who provides clinical management and expertise over operating room nurses, surgical technicians, and central sterile processing staff to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care. This position is incentive eligible and offers opportunities for future growth and upward mobility within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all surgical areas of care.
• Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator.
• Ensure day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and center policies.
• Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes.
• Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided.
• Be accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages.
• Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided for upcoming cases.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical procedures.
• Delegate, coach, mentor, and handle conflict resolution with your team.
• Build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare is a provider of high-quality outpatient surgical care serving the Nashville area and Middle Tennessee. Brentwood Surgery Center is a new ambulatory surgery center set to open in July 2021 in Brentwood, Tennessee. The facility will feature:

• 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms.
