About the role

Under the supervision of registered nurse performs a variety of technical duties related to preparing and assisting with invasive surgical procedures and turnover. Interprets the surgical schedule and implements individualized care plans based on the related needs of the patient. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Health's philosophy policies procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality and safety standards and SPIRIT Values.
• Complies with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.
• Assists the nursing staff/provider with pre-operative preparations as directed.
