About the Role

Join HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital as a Surgical Services Aide and play a vital role in supporting life-changing surgeries. Your attention to detail in preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, and maintaining a clean, organized environment will directly impact patient safety, comfort, and the high-quality care we deliver.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock operating rooms with the right supplies, equipment, and fluids to ensure smooth procedure starts.
• Safely transport and transfer patients, verifying their identity and following protocols for those with special needs or medical equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and turning over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day to maintain a safe, sterile environment.
• Monitor equipment for potential issues and promptly report concerns to support smooth, safe surgical operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of operating room (OR) experience.

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital serving Seminole and West Volusia County. We are a Level II Trauma Center and provide the only full-service cardiovascular program in the area, including open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services.
