Optometrist - Sam's Optical

Position Summary

Provides evidence-based vision care to ensure patients' health and wellbeing by recommending and prescribing medications and other treatment options such as LASIK surgery, cataract surgery, and other vision aids.

What you'll do...

• Delivers exceptional customer service through all patient interactions.
• Maintains and updates patient information in vision center systems in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.
• Assists vision center staff, such as opticians, on best practices and procedures.
• Maintains and adheres to state, local, and federal healthcare regulations and Walmart vision center guidelines.
• Performs administrative and retail tasks such as financial transactions, patient registration, retail transactions, and working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
• Drives continuous improvements, adopts new technologies and skills, and supports others through change.

Pay & Benefits

• Annual salary range: $135,000.00 - $200,000.00
• Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry (OD) from accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a post-graduate year one (PGY-1) in area of emphasis (for example, family practice, low vision care, pediatric or geriatric optometry, ocular disease).
