About the role

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a Clinical Optometrist to provide professional optometric care to the YK Delta populace. This position offers a broad range of employment opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health of people in the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical optometric care in a professional manner to the YK Delta populace.
• Must have an Alaska license and be certified to use both diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
• Successfully pass the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (TMOD) certification or the National Board of Examiners in Optometry equivalent.
• Must have the computer skills needed to access computerized medical records.
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills: General Optometry.
• Supervise medical students, residents, and physician extenders, and Community Health Aide clinical practice.
• Oversee medical staff in their service area.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Graduate Diploma from an accredited school of optometry.
• Licensing/Certification: Must have an Alaska license and be certified to use both diagnostic and therapeutic agents.
• Equipment/Tools: Must have the computer skills needed to access computerized medical records.
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills: General Optometry.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully passed the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (TMOD) certification or the National Board of Examiners in Optometry equivalent.

Minimum Hourly Pay: $85.72
