About the role
This role is based in Richmond, VA with consistent travel and coverage in our Virginia Beach and Charlottesville centers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye care services including vision exams, prescription refills, and patient education
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance professional skills
- Manage patient relationships and referrals
- Contribute to the growth and success of the practice through team collaboration and leadership
Requirements
- Current state license as an optometrist
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an ABO accredited school
- Completed residency training in primary eye care
- Board certified or eligible
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
