Optometrist (OD) - Part Time

We are looking for a Doctor of Optometry with a passion for delivering patient-centered care to make a measurable difference in patients’ vision and lives. About the role

This full-time Optometrist (OD) position is performed in a traditional, full-scope office environment and may require local travel within MyEyeDr. regions on the same day. You will practice general and medical optometry with a consistent patient base at a comfortable pace, prioritizing quality patient care. Every MyEyeDr. practice is equipped with the latest vision care technology and a wide selection of quality eyewear.

The ideal candidate will be personable, driven by patient focus, and passionate about providing the best neighborhood eye care experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ vision and health care needs using commonly accepted practices, tools, and techniques.
• Document findings in patient records.
• Consult with patients regarding the current status and future requirements of their individualized vision care needs.
• Work closely with the office team to provide compassionate care, ensuring all patient visits are personalized, memorable, and deliver the best possible experience.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited institution.
• License in good standing to practice Optometry in the state of employment (required prior to beginning employment).
• National Provider Identification (NPI).
• TPA License.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize necessary equipment, and move about the office.

Prior clinical optometry experience in a retail, educational, or medical office setting is a plus, but all are welcome to apply.

Pay

For locations in the Virginia counties of Arlington, Alexandria City, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas City, Stafford, Fauquier, Clarke, Culpeper, and Spotsylvania, the wage range is $147,000.00 to $189,000.00 annually, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary), based on a full-time schedule, experience, and office location.

For all other counties in Virginia, the wage range is $140,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary), based on a full-time schedule, experience, and office location.
