Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited institution required
- Licenses in good standing to practice Optometry in the state required
- National Provider Identification (NPI) required
- TPA License required
- Prior clinical optometry experience in a retail, educational, or medical office setting a plus
Education and Experience
- Ability to communicate and exchange information
- Utilize equipment necessary to perform the job
- Move about the office
- Evaluate patient’s vision and health care needs
- Document findings in patient records
- Consult with patients regarding their vision care needs
- Collaborate with the office team for compassionate care
- Personable, driven by patient focus and needs, and passionate about providing the best neighborhood eye care experience
Pay
Wage range for this position varies based on full time schedule and experience and office location:
- Arlington, Alexandria City, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas City, Stafford, Fauquier, Clarke, Culpepper, and Spotsylvania: $147,000.00 to $189,000.00 annually
- All other counties in Virginia: $140,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually
Schedule
The Optometrist (OD) position is performed in a traditional, full-scope office environment and may require local travel, on a same day basis, within MyEyeDr. regions.
