About the role
A medically-focused optometrist with a passion for treating a wide variety of ocular diseases, working alongside some of the best optometrists and ophthalmologists in the country.
Responsibilities
- Perform problem-focused examinations to diagnose and treat a wide variety of ocular pathologies
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the fullest extent of your training
- Utilize advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies including ScoutPro, Solix OCT/OCT Angiography, Eidon Confocal Imaging, LipiFlow, TearCare, TIXEL, Lumenis IPL, Epic-C Plus IPL/LLLT, Light Adjustable IOLs, LENSAR, and Corneal Cross-Linking
- Provide superior care while focusing on building strong doctor-patient relationships
- Work with fourth year optometry interns from Indiana University School of Optometry and optometric residents
- Provide continuing education presentations at the local, state, and national level
Requirements
Referral center-based residency training and/or experience working in an OD/MD practice preferred. No primary care.
Qualifications
Doctor of Optometry degree from an AOA accredited school, licensed to practice optometry in the state of Indiana, and eligible for licensure in other states.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies.
