Optometrist - Full-Time/Part-Time - Corporate - Lansing, IL

In addition to offering full-scope optometry services, the practice features one of the largest selections of the latest designer frames and contact lenses.

About the role

We are looking for a full-time or part-time optometrist eager to practice full-scope optometry. As an OD in our practice, you can anticipate providing primary care, some medical care such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts, prescribing ophthalmic medications, and pre- and post-operative surgical care.

New graduates and experienced doctors are encouraged to apply. We offer a new grad mentorship program allowing new ODs to begin working before they’re licensed.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope optometry services including primary and medical eye care
• Manage conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts
• Prescribe ophthalmic medications
• Provide pre- and post-operative surgical care

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree (or pending)
• Valid state license to practice optometry (or pending)
• Excellent clinical skills and a patient-focused attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player mindset

Work Environment

A well-equipped office with state-of-the-art diagnostic instruments such as optical coherence tomography, fundus photography, visual fields, iCare Tonometry, and digital phoropters, or offices in the process of being updated with these technologies.

Schedule

Offices are open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. The typical schedule is 9 AM to 6 PM with one late night per week.
