About the role

Join a family-owned, doctor-owned private practice in Medina, OH with over 40 years of roots in the community. The growing practice combines a personalized private‑practice feel with the resources and benefits of a larger organization, featuring a newly updated office, state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and a flexible schedule. You will see approximately 3 patients per hour, serve an all‑age patient population starting around age 4, and receive strong support from experienced ODs, technicians, and opticians who handle pre‑testing and additional testing, allowing you to focus on patient care. The practice offers opportunity to provide and expand specialty contact lens services, prioritizes spending time with patients and building strong relationships rather than rushing through exams, and has recently updated exam lanes with advanced diagnostic technology including Optomap, OCT, visual fields, digital exam lanes, digital phoropters, corneal topographer, and an EHR. Located in Northeast Ohio, Medina offers a charming small‑town atmosphere with historic downtown, local shops and restaurants, parks, and outdoor recreation, providing convenient access to Cleveland and Akron.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions
• Provide primary and medical eye care
• Perform contact lens examinations and fittings
• Utilize advanced diagnostic technology
• Educate patients on their ocular health and treatment options
• Build lasting relationships with patients of all ages
• Incorporate specialty contact lens services based on your interests

Requirements

• Licensed Optometrist in Ohio
• Open to new graduates and experienced ODs (2027 graduates may be considered)
• Strong patient communication and rapport‑building skills
• Patient‑focused approach with a commitment to providing thorough, unhurried care
• Specialty interests are welcome, but no specific specialty is required
