About the Role
Vision Source Kerrville is a privately owned, patient-first practice in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. As a Vision Source affiliate, we offer the independence and soul of a private practice backed by the resources of a large professional network — without corporate constraints, production quotas, or the revolving door of employed ODs. We are a true primary care optometry practice providing comprehensive eye care, meaningful medical eye management, surgical co-management, and the full diagnostic and therapeutic scope of the optometric license.
Responsibilities
- Comprehensive eye examinations (technicians perform full work-up, automated lanes)
- Medical eye management (glaucoma, AMD, diabetic eye disease, anterior segment pathology)
- Contact lens fittings of all types
- Co-management of cataract surgery and refractive surgery, integrated into our clinic
- Advanced dry eye evaluation and treatment
- Genuine relationship-building with patients who return and refer their families
- Collaboration with a stable, experienced support team who respect your clinical judgment

- Optomap Imaging
- Zeiss OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)
- Virtual Visual Fields
- OPD III: autorefraction with wavefront analysis and topography
- Automated Marco exam lanes
- Dry Eye Suite: Oculus Keratograph with meibography, Lumenis OptiLIGHT IPL, OptiLIFT, LLLT, TearCare

Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Texas optometry license — or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date
- All experience levels considered — new graduates to seasoned ODs
- Genuine love of patient care and the full clinical scope of the profession
