Optometrist - (Full-Time/Flexible Schedule)

About the Role

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to work Part-Time or Full-Time (up to 5 days per week) in Greensboro, NC and the surrounding areas. This permanent position offers flexible schedules with no evening or weekend hours, excellent pay, clinical autonomy, an established patient base, and full administrative support. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available, prorated based on the number of days worked.

HealthDrive delivers on-site optometry, dentistry, podiatry, audiology, and behavioral health services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. Each specialty directly impacts the quality of daily life for the residents served.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders and ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in a cutting-edge EMR system.
• Travel daily to skilled nursing facilities as part of a mobile treatment model.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.).
• Current North Carolina Optometry License.
• Valid driver’s license.
• TPA certified.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using email, the internet, and learning healthcare-related software.
