Optometrist (Eyezone)

Compensation range for this role may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This role may include eligible incentives, bonuses, and/or commission.

About the role

This full-time Optometrist opportunity offers the chance to support six respected locations in Nevada across Family Eyecare Reno and Sparks, Eyezones-Midtown, Eyezones-West, Eyezones-South, and Arlington Eye, each serving its own patient community while sharing a commitment to high-quality, comprehensive vision care.

As a full-time floater Optometrist working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., you’ll provide essential coverage across all six practice locations, supporting vacations, leaves of absence, and staffing needs while maintaining continuity of patient care. This role offers variety in your day-to-day work as you care for diverse patient populations, adapt to different practice environments, travel between assigned locations based on scheduling needs, and navigate multiple office workflows or electronic health record systems when applicable.

Along the way, you’ll gain broader clinical experience, strengthen your problem-solving skills, collaborate with different teams and leaders, and build connections with a larger network of colleagues and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive optometric care across multiple Reno-Sparks practice locations
• Perform thorough eye examinations
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions
• Help each patient find visual solutions that support their eye health, lifestyle, and overall experience
• Adjust to varying patient volumes, team needs, office workflows, and practice environments
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, new products, and lens technologies

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.)
• Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure in Nevada
• 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of optometric technology and practices (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
• Flexibility to adapt to different practice environments and workflows
