Optometrist (Enhanced Pay + Sign On Bonus!)

About the role

HealthDrive is currently seeking an Optometrist to work part‑time or full‑time (2‑4 days per week) covering the greater Cincinnati‑Dayton, OH area. The role offers updated compensation with the opportunity to earn $700+ per day via production, a $625 daily minimum, and an $8,000 sign‑on bonus for those working four days per week (prorated for fewer days). The compensation plan is competitive with uncapped earning potential. Benefits are available for full‑time employees (most benefits start day 1 of employment) and include mileage reimbursement, 100% malpractice coverage, full administrative support, dedicated regulatory affairs and compliance teams, and all equipment and supplies—including a laptop with a proprietary EMR system. The position provides flexible scheduling with no evening or weekend hours required, clinical autonomy, an established patient base without quotas, and experienced leadership to support clinical and corporate success.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long‑term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age‑related illnesses.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and complete required clinical documentation in the cutting‑edge EMR system.
• Perform mobile model treatment requiring daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.)
• State professional license
• Valid driver’s license
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to use email, the internet, and to learn other healthcare‑related software
