About the role
Carolina Eyecare Physicians is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our growing team in the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina. This opportunity offers the chance to practice within an established, vertically integrated ophthalmology and optometry organization while serving patients throughout the Bluffton, Hilton Head, and Beaufort communities. The ideal candidate will have an interest in medical optometry and collaborative OD/MD care. The Optometrist will work closely with ophthalmologists and subspecialists, providing comprehensive eye care while participating in the co-management and post-procedural care of patients. Providers are supported by experienced clinical teams, dedicated technicians, advanced diagnostic technology, and an established ophthalmology referral network.
Responsibilities
- Join an established, fast-paced optometric practice
- See 25–35+ patients per day (busy OD volume)
- Work with a dedicated team of work-up technicians and diagnostic support
- Operate within a vertically integrated OD/MD practice model
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and subspecialists, providing comprehensive eye care
- Participate in co-management and post-procedural care of patients
- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic technology
- Travel to other locations as necessary
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school or college of optometry
- Eligible for or currently holds a South Carolina optometry license
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, team-oriented environment
