Optometrist

About the role

Valley Optometric Associates is seeking a full-time optometrist with a Doctor of Optometry degree and an active Nevada O.D. license (or eligibility for licensure) to join their growing Reno practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care while seeing an average of 14–20 patients per day in a well-supported clinical environment.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as retinal imaging, visual fields, electronic medical records, online booking, two-way patient texting, and glaucoma management technologies, including punctal plugs.
• Work efficiently while maintaining clinical excellence, accurate documentation, and a positive, patient-focused experience.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Optometry degree.
• An active Nevada O.D. license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Experience in providing comprehensive eye care services, including primary eye exams, contact lens services, medical eye care, and in-office dry eye treatments.
• Knowledge of advanced diagnostic tools and technologies.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and office technology.
