As an Optometric Tech in Training, you’ll serve as the doctor’s right hand—conducting pre-tests, gathering vital health information, and ensuring every patient is prepped for an exceptional experience. It’s technical. It’s fast-paced. And it’s meaningful work that makes a lasting impact. We will teach you the skills to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-tests and diagnostic procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collect and document patient medical histories and current health information.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors and help manage clinic flow.
  • Maintain clean, functional equipment for a seamless patient experience.
  • Absorb and document insurance verification, eligibility checks, and benefit authorizations.
  • Stay current with training and actively work to grow your skills.

Schedule

Pay

$17.00/hour base

Application Instructions

You must attend a mandatory two-week paid training (no absences)—this is where your journey starts, and we invest heavily in making sure you’re set up for success. Prior medical, clinical, or pharmacy experience is helpful, but not required—we hire for attitude, teach for skill. You’ll work some Saturdays—because our patients need us then too.
