Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare patients for their eye examinations.
  • Obtain patient medical and ocular histories.
  • Perform preliminary testing, including visual acuity, autorefraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Auxiliary the doctor during examinations and procedures as needed.
  • Inform patients about contact lenses, eyewear, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
  • Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
  • Receive contact lens training, education, and ordering.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of contact lenses and eyewear.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Pay

  • $15.00 per hour.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
