The technician will support instrument preparation and running associated processes for the growth of thin film multilayer coatings by sputtering. The technician will carry out tests of optical components for custom built lasers for XUV Lasers, Inc. Examples of tasks are: loading the deposition systems, maintaining such systems to ensure proper conditions for coatings’ development; developing processes to prepare optics for deposition; designing and aligning optical systems; basic trouble-shooting of electronic components. The opto-mechanical technician will work closely with an assigned senior research scientist to ensure successful on-time and on-budget project completion.
