Job Responsibilities
- Performs basic shaping process steps on medium difficult parts.
- Beveling – capable of fabricating polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels.
- Blocking – pitch button, Norland transfer, steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment.
- Grinding – Steep radius, cylinder, tight wedge, continuous.
- Polishing – spindle, CP, double side, CNC polish.
- Slurry Maintenance - maintains and measures established Baume and PH levels.
- Pour pitch lap, cuts, and grooves lap.
- Advanced print reading skills – can read and comprehend all fabrication specs.
- Measurement skills include - Basic Zygo, understanding of fringe pattern, microscope, stereoscope, surface quality inspection, fiber light.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experienced in optics fabrication.
- Advanced print reading skills.
- Basic knowledge of Zygo measurement tools.
- Experience with slurry maintenance and pH level management.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
