Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble and test high quality, high reliability opto-mechanical components, combustion devices and electromechanical assemblies
- Perform verifications of flight hardware and document results in a clear, precise and complete manner
- Improve processes to enable automated acceptance testing
- Respond to production related non-conformances and drive to root cause and disposition
- Maintain process planning documents and action feedback when necessary
- Perform maintenance and calibration activities for automated acceptance testing equipment
- Work with engineers to create 2D drawings from existing 3D models by applying established drawing specifications and standards
- Provide training and guidance to other technicians
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 7+ years of experience working on opto-mechanical or electronic assembly and/or test production environment
- 9+ years of demonstrated professional experience providing support for the production and test of highly complex opto-mechanical components
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering
- Familiarity with handling optical equipment and cleaning techniques
- Deep knowledge of the safe operation of vacuum, thermal, electrical, power and data acquisition systems
- Proficient with wiring and electrical systems
- Proficient with fabricating and acquiring parts to build test capabilities from basic requirements with minimal direction from others
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with fluid and electrical systems and implement scrappy solutions
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 7+ years of experience working on opto-mechanical or electronic assembly and/or test production environment
- 7+ years of experience working on opto-mechanical or electronic assembly and/or test production environment or a bachelor's degree in an engineering field
- Familiarity with handling optical equipment and cleaning techniques
- Deep knowledge of the safe operation of vacuum, thermal, electrical, power and data acquisition systems
- Proficient with wiring and electrical systems
- Proficient with fabricating and acquiring parts to build test capabilities from basic requirements with minimal direction from others

Skills
Preferred skills and experience:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering
- Experience designing tooling in a hardware development environment
- Experience building and operating TVAC chambers

- Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
- Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.

Compensation: $135,000 - $165,000 / year
