OPTICAL SALES ASSOCIATE (ALL GENDERS) I 20 HRS/WEEK I NEW YORK CITY (UPPER EAST SIDE)

About the role

For our MYKITA store in New York City (Upper East Side), we are seeking a highly motivated Optical Sales Associate (all genders) to join our team 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Expertly sell MYKITA’s premium frames and lenses to a diverse clientele, tailoring recommendations to individual needs.
• Eyewear dispensing, adjustments, repairs, and maintenance are carried out by you, supported by comprehensive training to ensure the highest standards.
• Represent MYKITA’s brand, vision, and values, consistently upholding our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation.
• Deliver a highly personalized and memorable customer experience is a central part of your role.
• Perform precise lens measurements and manage the ordering process with accuracy and care.
• Handle administrative tasks efficiently, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a retail optical environment.
• A strong passion for consulting and selling high-end eyewear to an international clientele.
• An attention to detail, combined with a clear focus on quality and service.
• A highly motivated and team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work weekends.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are considered a plus.
• Lens edging skills are beneficial, but not required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a professional and timely approach to customer correspondence.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a structured approach.
• Attention to detail and precision in handling customer orders and maintaining inventory.
