About the role

Eyemart Express, founded 30 years ago by Dr. Barnes, is a leading optical retailer with over 245 stores in 42 states. The company offers local labs, eye exams, and same‑day delivery on glasses. The Retail Sales Associate (also known as a Retail Optician) assists patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and lens coatings that best suit their needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Compute and process payment transactions and refunds.
• Process insurance claims efficiently.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge.
• Create and maintain patient files in compliance with company and HIPAA policies.
• Assess and interpret patients’ needs and preferences.
• Take necessary measurements and prepare work orders for the lab.
• Pull correct lenses according to work order specifications.
• Inspect final products for accuracy.
• Adjust or repair damaged frames.
• Price, stock, and straighten merchandise.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Experience in the optical industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Pay

The earning potential for this role is competitive and includes base pay plus incentives.
