Optical / Optomechanical Engineer

About the role

You will work in a tight-knit team, working across hardware (lasers, optics, vacuum, electronics), software, processor design, and whatever else is required to build the working quantum computer. This role will focus on design and implementation of complex optical and optomechanical systems key to building the working quantum computer, integrated within the quantum hardware team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex optical and optomechanical systems
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate your designs into the quantum hardware system
• Work in a highly collaborative team environment

Requirements

• Desirable background in optical engineering or optomechanical engineering
• Experience at all levels, from post-bachelor's to PhD and beyond
• Wants to build a quantum computer

Qualifications

A strong background in optical engineering or optomechanical engineering is desirable for this role.
