Optical Network Dev Engineer, DCNE

Responsibilities
- Build, Operate and rollout our global DWDM networks
- Drive scaling current DWDM designs to meet the demand of our customers
- Create processes that help operate and build our DWDM network
- Work closely with other Networking departments on new designs
- Ensure that the DWDM network adheres to the defined network standards
- Review and implement changes on the DWDM network
- Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network
Requirements
- 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
- 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
- 4+ years’ experience with the rollout and operations of large DWDM networks and Optical network technologies
- 3+ years’ experience with optical planning and modelling tools
Qualifications
- Highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills and has a successful track record of troubleshooting complex network problems and has experience in automation and delivering innovative solutions
- The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential
Skills
- Automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
- Thorough understanding of deploying and operating high capacity DWDM and Optical network systems

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
USA, WA, Seattle - 136,000.00 - 184,000.00 USD annually
